Game Out of Jail after Only 8 Days

It must be great being a celebrity because apparently you don't have to do jail time. Game was sentenced to 60 days in a Los Angeles prison after pleading no contest on Monday February 11 to felony gun charges stemming from a February 2007 incident in which he allegedly pulled out a gun in a school zone. After Game entered his no-contest plea, a Los Angeles County judge immediately sentenced him to 60 days in prison. In exchange for his plea, prosecutors dropped two other charges: making criminal threats and exhibiting a firearm in the presence of a peace officer. He was also was sentenced to three years of probation and 150 hours of community service. Game was arrested in May, three months after the incident took place, during a pickup-basketball game at a park in L.A. According to the police report, Game got into a fight with a member of the opposing team and then got a gun from his Cadillac Escalade and threatened to kill the man. Game stated in a recent interview with Monsta Magazine that he felt he was being targeted because of his celebrity. After all of this drama, Game winded up getting out of jail after only 8 days. He was released from jail because of "overcrowding" which is the same reason Paris Hilton was released after a couple of days. I know if that was me with these charges, I would probably have to stay in jail for the whole 60 days. I probably would get a longer sentence too. It's really not fair that celebrities get to avoid jail time because of their status. As soon as Game got out of jail, before he even went home, he went to go record a couple of tracks including "Big Dreams" produced by Cool and Dre. This is going to be the first single off Games upcoming album "LAX", coming out later this year. LAX is rumored to be his last album because he says he is fed up with the music business.
